Senator Engineer Abdul Hakim Hindi, Chairman of the Tourism and Heritage Committee in the Senate and Chairman of the Jordan Hotels Association (JHA), along with members of the Board of Directors, received Mr. Khaled Al Ali, Head of Support Services for Consular Affairs and Citizen Services at the UAE Embassy in Jordan, Mr. Ahmed Deeb, General Manager of Etihad Airways for the Levant and Africa, and Mr. Khalil Hamid, Account Manager for Etihad Airways in Jordan.
During the meeting, the association’s mission and objectives were presented, focusing on the development of the hotel sector in Jordan and the enhancement of quality and service standards.
Discussions centered on potential collaboration between the Jordan Hotels Association and Etihad Airways, emphasizing the importance of such partnerships in boosting tourism in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Senator Abdul Hakim Hindi highlighted Jordan’s strategic location, particularly in tourism, and stressed the importance of partnerships with airlines to promote tourism activity. He noted that such meetings contribute to supporting both the hotel and tourism sectors while positively impacting those working in this vital field.
Mr. Khaled Al Ali expressed his gratitude to the JHA for this constructive meeting and underscored the importance of collaboration to achieve mutual goals.
Mr. Ahmed Deeb provided a comprehensive overview of Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national carrier, and emphasized the significance of follow-up meetings to ensure ongoing collaboration and the development of Jordan’s tourism sector while strengthening strategic partnerships.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Senator Hindi presented commemorative shields, one from the Senate and another from the JHA, to Mr. Khaled Al Ali, Mr. Ahmed Deeb, and Mr. Khalil Hamid. Etihad Airways reciprocated by presenting commemorative shields in recognition of the JHA’s efforts in promoting cooperation and supporting the tourism sector.
The meeting was also attended by JHA Deputy Chairman Hussein Hilalat and the Secretary of the Board, Engineer Mai Samour.
